The best way to find out about the school is to come to one of our Enquirers' Mornings, where you can find out about Steiner-Waldorf education and see some of the school and the work done by children. The dates of these are in the Calendar. If you would like to attend one, call us, send an email, or just drop in one day when the Office is open:

Office hours : 8:45am to 1pm and 1:45pm to 4pm, Monday to Friday during school terms.

The school is run in accordance with Rudolf Steiner's principles of organization for institutions. It has no Head Teacher and decisions are reached by consensus. There is a College of Teachers which deals with the day to day running of the school, meeting every week during term, and a Council of Management, which is the governing body of the school and is elected by and from the Association of York Steiner School. The school is a limited company owned by the Association, and all parents and staff are entitled to become members of the Association.
